When I arrived the front desk was very nice and quick to get my room. I got in my room it was very clean and nice. The buffet was great, the food and staff were both amazing. Then it came down to the
Drawings for the football drawings. They picked out several tickets looked at them picked one and stuck them back in the middle. They didn’t spin the barrel each time they drew which caused several tickets to be just Stuck to the sides of the barrel. They didn’t try to mix the tickets around they just kept picking out of the middle. They didn’t give everyone a fair chance to be picked because they didn’t mix it up. After the drawing was over I said something to the events coordinator about it and he was very RUDE about the situation. I have been to many casinos and have never had a staff member be like that. If you’re taking suggestions just make the drawings a little bit more fair next time. Other people that stood around me had the same thoughts. And please tell your even coordinator to not be rude to customers.

Players club & room check-in lines need to be separate all of the time. We arrived at 6:30 pm because of a road construction delay. Although there were 3 people behind the desk, they were all handling players club cards & we waited too long to get checked in. We had the seafood buffet & were very disappointed. The food was terribly overcooked. Huge pile of fried fish that nobody was taking because it was so dark brown. The desserts looked nice but nothing labled. We used to love coming here. This time we didn't even stay in the room. We were so disappointed that we just went home. The positives were a wonderful waitress & a really good bloody mary.

Very satisfied with our visit. Buffet was very good with a nice selection of different foods for all appetites. Good selection of slots and table games. Plus the extra benefit of greyhound racing.

The family and I usually end up visiting the casino and buffet during Christmas time when I’m visiting. The casino has a good selection of slots and the buffet food is pretty good. There are a few areas of improvement though. The ladies that are at the front entrance to the buffet are so unfriendly and clearly don’t like interacting with people. They seem like we are inconveniencing them as we are trying to pay for the buffet. A quick “Hello, how are you doing” would be nice. Instead they just blurt out “What are you drinking”. No smile, pretty much just dead inside.

The Players Services is usually pretty slow because it’s tied in with Hotel Registration. It would be nice if they had a kiosk that can print out player cards if you lost yours. Most casinos that I’ve been to have these and it’s convenient to use if that’s all you need.

They have a free soda machine, which is nice. They are supposed to have free coffee next to the soda machine, but every time we would visit it has a “Temporarily” out of service sign on it. Seem like it’s permanently temporarily out of service. Just take it out and stop offering if if you can’t provide it.

There are a couple of kiosks around to check your points and offers on your player card. Two in the back of the casino near the cash cage and two near the front entrance. The ones near the front entrance need a stanchion or floor stickers to help coordinate the line. Sometimes there are two lines, sometime there is one line that forms for both kiosks. People don’t know that there is one single line and they end up skipping everyone to get to the next open kiosk. It’s a pretty easy fix so the line can move efficiently.

The Pointe restaurant had the best fillet that I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten at high end steak houses and this one was definitely one of the best.

The food court also has some good food options if you need something quick to snack on.

Smoking at this casino is pretty bad. If you’re not a smoker you’ll definitely leave with some form of lung cancer. Most of the smokers don’t care and will gladly leave their cigarettes burning just to make sure the room is full of smoke all night long. They used to have a bigger smoke free section that was somewhat separated, but they turned that into this weird buffalo corner or something like that. There used to be a soda machine there too, but it’s gone now. I think the new smoke free section is near the buffet, but there aren’t many noticeable signs that point that out. At least there is a small area to get some fresh air, so I can’t complain too much. They do tend to put the newer machine in the smoking section though, so you’ll have to breathe that in if you want to play the newer games.

Overall this casino has a lot of good things, but there are still a few areas that could use improvement.

Older property, but well maintained you can tell they’ve renovated recently. The casino is pretty nice. They have a good selection of slot, machine, machines, and table games. You can get $20 in free slot play if you sign up for their rewards program as a new member. Not a whole lot of dining options in the area. There are a few restaurants and fast food places on the island. With the casino itself has a really nice buffet and a food court with options like pizza and burgers typical stuff like that.

We went for two nights mid week, Wednesday through Friday. It was not very crowded which we appreciated. We spent a lot of time at five dollar craps, blackjack, the race track, and a little bit of slots. The room is very spacious, but would be better if it had, a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. The beds were OK. We had a view of the river from our room which was nice. The staff that we encountered was all very friendly from the security check in to the front desk to the table game dealers. Would definitely go back.

Went to the casino for the dinner buffet. The food was delicious and fresh. Everyone from hostess to chefs to the servers provided top notch customer service. My only complaint were the drink options. It’s very basic and not up to par with the wonderful options you have for food. But the quality of food definitely outweighs no wine with dinner.
