This company owns the BetRivers online casino operating in Ontario, Canada.

I closed my account with this company. Over the past couple weeks they've had absolutely no problem taking my money via any of three different payment methods so I could gamble.

However when it came time to pay out my winnings things turned. Suddenly I had to submit documents for review to prove I am who I say I am. Driver's license? Sure, uploaded. Then they required my Visa Debit card. Problem being it's a VIRTUAL Visa Debit card - I don't have a physical card, it exists only in my online banking. Because I couldn't upload a picture of a physical card that doesn't exist I asked for options. I was told that uploading a bank statement showing the transactions would be fine. The problem there - my statement just came out a week ago, the next one (that has the BetRivers deposits) doesn't come out for 3 more weeks. Yes, they told me I would therefore have to wait THREE WEEKS to get my own money.

After exchanging 11 emails and asking repeatedly I was assured that yes, I would have to upload that statement. I offered to validate the other two payment methods I'd used to fund the account but nope, they wanted that virtual Visa Debit card or nothing. The physical credit card I'd used? Nope. The Interac email money transfer I'd used? Nope.

Spent a couple hours on the support chat, speaking with 3 different chat agents until they came to a compromise and I was finally able to get my money.

Never give your money to a company that'll make you jump through hoops to take back what's rightfully yours.

Cool app to use and always getting better but terrible promotions team. I got an email on 9/7/2021 saying I had won a $250 gift card to either nfl shop or Fanatics and still have yet to receive it as of 10/23/21. They stopped answering my emails and they have not contacted me back about an eta. Don’t send people emails about winning something when you don’t get back to them with the prize!!!
