I was at Lyndonville Hardware and couldn’t find what I needed. A young man who was working stopped what he was doing and asked if I needed help. He showed me to the correct aisle and also found the correct type of light bulb. His name is Rowan and I am so glad he knew exactly how to help and was so nice. Thank you Rowan!

I gave this a 2 star review. The reason is below. I gave it a 5 star review because those are the only ones that they appear to read. Please go with the 2 star review or less, this place has gone down hill.

You can never reach them by phone to ask questions. Because it always goes to an automated that says they are helping other customers. Please call back later and their prices are very high, not a very good store anymore.

Recently bought a Stihl chainsaw which came assembled… Went to go use it and it started smoking like crazy while barely cutting. Turns out the ding dong who assembled it put the chain on backwards, even though there is a picture on the bar showing what direction it should be on. So double check anything that you buy here that was assembled by the “professionals” at this location.

Also wanted to add that my usual store is the Barre location and never had an issue at that store with preassembled purchases.

The new owner has increased the prices to the point that it feels exploitive. Also, I think that they may have reduced the variety of things that they sell. High prices, fewer choices - not a good place to shop.

Old review (no longer applicable) - Friendly, helpful and hardworking staff coupled with fair pricing makes this a great place to do business with.

I am a long time customer of Lyndonville hardware. While I was skeptical at first when this store was purchased by Aubuchon, the manager, Troy, has maintained the hometown feel of this store and quickly become part of the community here as he knows his customers by name !

Great, friendly staff. Wonderful hardware store.
